The first series of the Halo Wars Championship League of 2019 is here. The league consists of two tournament organizations, The Banished and Halo Wars Tournament Central (HWTC). Each of these organizations will be putting on official tournaments and side-events throughout the season leading up to the main event, The HWCL Summer Invitational. The top 12 players will be invited to the Invitational. Standings are based on HWCL points, which are earned by competing in official tournaments. The top eight will come from The Banished with the last four positions coming from the HWTC. The prize for the Invitational will be provided by 343. Here are the specifics of the HWCL taken from Waypoint:

  • All tournaments worth HWCL points will be in 1v1 deathmatch format.
