DreamHack has released a player handbook for the event this upcoming weekend. In it are details for the event including what peripherals to bring, event times, tournament format, map rotations, and more. The prize breakdown is the following:

MCC Halo 3: 4v4
1st – $25,000 USD
2nd – $10,000 USD
3rd – $6,000 USD
4th – $3,000 USD
5-6th – $2,000 USD
7-8th – $1,000 USD

MCC Halo 3: FFA
1st – $3,000 USD
2nd – $1,500 USD
3rd – $500 USD

The 4v4 tournament will be double-elimination, the four best teams from the Open Bracket will join the top 12 teams from the UGC Qualifiers in Pool Play. All games are a best-of-five series except for the Elimination Bracket Finals, Winner’s Finals, and Grand Finals which will be best-of-seven.

The FFA tournament will have a 256 player cap. Four players from each round will advance, each round is three heats. The scoring system is as follows:

  • 1st – 8 pts
  • 2nd – 7 pts
  • 3rd – 6 pts
  • 4th – 5 pts
  • 5th – 4 pts
  • 6th – 3 pts
  • 7th – 2 pts
  • 8th – 1 pts

Ties between players will be broken in the following order: most kills > most assists > fewest deaths.
