In last week’s MCC Playlist Update, Postums mentioned that the Halo 3 Arena playlist doesn’t have any specific offerings when it comes to gametypes and that they plan on giving players options to play specific ones of their choice. The first of these options will be Team Slayer. You can expect to see maps like Guardian, Heretic, Pit Stop, Ghost Town, and Assembly. The H3 Team Slayer playlist will come with a new rank.
In a tweet posted by Postums today, he said that this playlist will be live in two days (July 17th). Dana Jerpbak, a designer working on MCC, replied to the tweet stating that in this playlist, parties of three will always match with other parties of three (plus a solo) or a party of four and groups of two will not match against groups of three or four.
T-Minus 2 Days for #MCC to see the return of Halo 3’s Ranked Team Slayer. Who is grinding with me on Wednesday?

For this playlist, we are experimenting with partial team matchmaking for parties of three and four. This means that a group of three will always match against another group of three (plus a solo) OR a group of four. Groups of two will not match against groups of three or four.
