Acend are champions of Europe once again to the surprise of no one. However, the story of the day was Quadrant’s long awaited return to the Top Two.
Acend didn’t drop a map on the way to a fourth EU Pro Series title in a row, setting themselves up again as top dogs in Europe and appearing to be the only challenger to take on the might of NA with consistent top performances.
Quadrant made a huge leap forward after falling to Top Six in previous weeks. They produced a set of performances against the likes of The Lads and HMCA who also have had recent impressive placements.
Speaking of HMCA, they finished up in third taking an impressive win over NAVI to make it to Winners Finals, but lost out in the end to a strong rebounding Quadrant.
HMCA along with The Lads have been making great strides in the EU Halo community to cement themselves as top teams. The Lads finished up in Top Four again with a huge win over NAVI in the Losers Bracket, putting themselves in the shop window for any aspiring org to pick up.
Top Six for NAVI will be disappointing given the progress they made over the last few months towards being a top contender to dethrone Acend. They will be eager to amend this performance next time.
Who Knows finished up Top Six with wins over last weeks Top Eight team, TYSK, and a strong Bongo roster.
Finishing up the Top Eight was Bongo and Team Twisted who qualify for next week’s series.
The cycle starts again this weekend with Sundays Open Series. With teams such as Mockit, TYSK, and Sherzys Angels in the mix, there is plenty of quality in the Open Series.
