The next HCS Global Invitational is a little over a week away in Salt Lake City, Utah and this past weekend teams that didn’t place Top 8 at the Arlington Major all competed to earn a Pool Play spot. The Qualifiers consisted of Pool Play and a double-elimination Champ Bracket. The last place team in each Pool were eliminated from the tournament. The following would secure a spot in Salt Lake City: North America – top two teams, Europe – first place team, Mexico – first place team, Australia/New Zealand – first place team. If a team from NA or EU didn’t finish in one of the qualified placings, there is another chance for them to make it to SLC. After the Qualifiers, the remaining three spots will go to the top two NA teams by HCS Points and top team from EU by HCS Points. The HCS Salt Lake City Global Invitational hosted by Spacestation Gaming begins on Friday, August 4th and ends on Sunday, August 6th.
